Coach Ryan Freed

Ryan was a three- year lettermen in both Football and Basketball in High School, He earned First Team All-State Honors in Football (94) and All- League Honors in Basketball (93).

At The University of California, Berkeley, Ryan was a member of the 1996 Aloha Bowl Football Team and won Three National Championships in Rugby, earning First Team All- American Honors Twice, and a brief spot on the USA Eagles Rugby team before injury. 

Ryan grew up outside Detroit, Michigan and coached Varsity Football and Basketball at St. Paul’s Episcopal School in Oakland. He also coaches basketball & soccer in San Francisco at the Jewish Community Center.

He plays a variety of sports, including tennis, golf, track and field, rugby & squash.  He also has trained for several years in Aikido and has taken Jiu-Jitsu classes in Oakland.

He has a B.A. in Rhetoric from Cal & a

Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from

San Jose State University and is returning for his Maters in Sports Management @ USF in January.

Coach Ben Figueroa

Ben was born and raised in Southern California where he grew up playing basketball, soccer, and football.

He played in various basketball leagues from NJB, AAU (Anaheim Aces Varsity), High School, Asian-American League, Dream League, and USF Intra-murals. Ben also played club and high school Varsity soccer. As a Two-time letterman at El Dorado High School ( '06 and '07 Century League Champions, '07 CIF-SS Div II Champions) Ben brings a host of playing and coaching experience to FA!

Ben is currently finishing up his senior year at the University of San Francisco and he is currently coaching  youth teams at Jewish Community Center of San Francisco. Ben really enjoys teaching the game of basketball and seeing the progress made by his current players.


Coach Sam Mackintosh

Sam is a highly regarded teacher and coach.  Growing up he played a variety of sports including baseball, soccer, tennis and basketball.  Sam has both domestic and international basketball playing experience, playing for his Jr. High team here in the states and in Sydney for one year.  Sam has coached nine and ten year olds both in little league and during several summer camps.  Sam has been teaching kindergarden for more than eight years, he currently teaching K at St. Paul’s Episcopal School in Oakland, Ca.


Coach Eric Anderson

Eric was a ten time letterman in Football, Basketball and Track and Field at near by Acalanes High School in Lafayette, Ca.  He captained all three Varsity teams and earned First Team All-League Honors in both Football (96,97) and Track (95-98).  He went on to receive his B.A in American Studies from U.C Berkeley in 2003.

Eric won 4 National Championships in Rugby at U.C Berkeley and was a 2 Time First Team All-American.  He was also a squad member of the 1998 Football team.  He continued his rugby pursuits with 6 additional National Championships with the Pacific Coast Rugby Club and was also a member of the USA Senior National Team in 2000, and 2005.

Eric loves sport and coaching.  In the past he has helped run basketball clinics in the East Bay, and has a been a counselor at numerous family and leadership summer camps including Camp Royal and The Lair of the Bear.  Currently, Eric is a Group Foster Home Counselor at St. Vincent's School for Boys. 


Coach Nnenna Okereke

Nnenna Okereke is originally from Berkeley, CA. She is a recent graduate from the University of San Francisco with a BA in Psychology.

With regards to her athletic background, she has always had a passion for playing just about any type of sport. She played both soccer and basketball as a child and when the time came for her to chose a sport to pursue in high school, she chose basketball. She played on the Varsity basketball team at Berkeley High School and went on to play at Porterville Jr. College before beginning her Division I career at the University of San Francisco as an upperclassman. 

Nnenna has always been interested in helping kids in anyway and loves to give back to the community. She plans to become a lawyer specializing in children's cases because she believes a child's well-being to be a critical aspect of their development. Nnenna is currently a basketball coach at the Jewish Community Center in San Francisco, where she instructs children ages 5-12. She has also coached several summer camps in San Francisco. She is very passionate about teaching the game of basketball and helping kids develop their fundamental skills. She enjoys witnessing the day-by-day process of young children developing into skilled athletes.
